I am currently working on a retelling of
Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness.
I will be writing the story and my father, Tim Truman, will be illustrating it.

It will place the original Conrad novella in a science fiction setting and use it as a springboard to explore concerns of our era: globalization; the exploitation of third world nations people and resources; corporate control over our government; terrorism; military outsourcing; the loss of civil liberties.
In other words, the things we see on the news and talk about every day.

The comic will be released episodically on ComicMix for free, and then collected into a graphic novel and sold in stores.
